I can help you with the basic information and details on SEO through this blog. If you are new to SEO then you are in the right place to start your SEO journey.

Search Engine Optimization definition is very diverse as much as the topic is. And if someone asks me  "What is SEO?", my answer will be, well I do not have an exact answer, but I can give you some points that can be included in your definition of SEO.


What Is SEO?

Well yes, SEO is performed for the websites to attain high ranks in a search engine. But SEO is not just attaining high ranks. Website traffic and visibility are also essential for a website to do well.

  • So website traffic and visibility are important along with search engine ranking. Now for those who don't know what is web traffic and visibility, Website traffic or online traffic is all about increasing the number of quality users visiting your site. Your online visibility also contributes to the online traffic of your site. 
Eg. We search for the hotels in your city by using a certain search engine (eg. google, bing etc.), there is a good chance that you go for the first five results shown by the search engine. And to be honest, most of us never even look for the second page. The search engine should trust that our site can provide the user with what they want in the clearest manner. 

"So we can say that SEO is a technique used to attain high ranks in the search engine and thereby increase the online traffic and visibility of the website."


Okay, now you got the most basic introduction to SEO. You should also know that SEO is not confined to web traffic and visibility, it is also about improving your website quality and creating the trust between you and the search engine. After all, the users will remain the ultimate Kings in this.
